Day 01 Arrival Yangon ( by morning/ midday flight ) ( Dinner )
Morning: Arrive Yangon by morning/ midday flight. You will be welcome by your tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Have a rest at the hotel until the late afternoon sightseeing starts.
Afternoon: Late afternoon visit the Chaukhtatgyi - the colossal reclining Buddha; the Shwedagon Pagoda and sunset viewing from there. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Yangon.
Day 02 Yangon-Mandalay (Flight)/ Amarapura & Mandalay Sightseeing ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Upon arrival Mandalay, drive to Amarapura, former Royal capital of Myanmar but the suburb of Mandalay nowadays. Highlights include Mahargandaryone monastery - a typical monastic school; U Bein bridge – the world’s longest teak wood bridge across the Taungthaman lake – an ideal place to view the sunset also; and silk weaving factory.
Lunch on Afternoon sightseeing includes Shwenandaw monastery – still existing masterpiece of last Myanmar kingdom’s architecture in teak and wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda – renowned as the world’s largest book; and Mandalay Hill – regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay – to view the sunset.Dinner at local restaurant Overnight Mandalay.
Day 03 Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) (Car) ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, formerly called Maymyo, a hill station established just after the British annexation, is about 68 km east of Mandalay (about two hours drive). Sightseeing highlights include National Kandawgyi Garden (formerly known as botanical garden) – a forest reserve and well maintained garden on totaling 437 acres of land; Chinese Temple and Paikchinmyaung cave. If time permits we would also visit some of the farms cultivating coffee and fruits nearby Pyin Oo Lwin.Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Pyin Oo Lwin.
Day 04 Pyin Oo Lwin-Mandalay (Car)/Mandalay Sightseeing ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit local market and town center by a horse drawn cart along the city. We would then visit Pwekauk fall – a unique place for relax and picnic. Back to the hotel for relax and pack. Check out from the hotel and drive back to Mandalay.
Sightseeing at Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar kingdom, includes Mahamuni Buddha Image – believed to be cast in bronze in front of Buddha himself and nowadays gilded with thick gold leaf; gold leaf hammering, marble carving, and tapestry making. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Mandalay.
Day 05 Mandalay / Bagan (Boat – RV Shwekeinnery) ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel or pack your breakfast. Early transfer to the jetty to embark the RV Shwekeinnery (ETD 07:00) – the well maintained and renovated river vessel running vice versa between Mandalay and Bagan daily – would bring a relax trip on you on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy river to reach Bagan. Depending on nautical condition, the trip takes 7 – 10 hours. Arrive Bagan in the late afternoon and transfer to your hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Bagan.
Day 06 Bagan full day sightseeing ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Bagan, one of Asia’s most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair ; Gubyaukgyi Temple ( Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century ‘cave temple’ with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style.
A visit to the lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village. Before the sunset, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy river to discover the local life and view the sunset. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Bagan.
Day 07 Bagan/ Mt. Popa ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt. Popa - an extinct volcano at 65 km south east of Bagan in the plain region of middle Myanmar and as the one of National parks in Myanmar with preserved forest. It serves as a small oasis in the hot, dry plain of Myanmar. The popularity of Mt. Popa today lies in the interest of religious and mystical beliefs as an abode of spirits, “Nats”. Check in at Popa Mountain Resort before climbing the Taungkalat – believed to be the part of the main volcano blown apart and plugged at the current location.
Free at leisure for the rest of the day or you can also enjoy the recreational facilities provided by the hotel with extra charge such as horse riding, playing a 9 holes golf etc. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Popa Mountain Resort.
Day 08 Popa-Kalaw(Car) sightseeing and Kalaw-Pindaya(car) ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. An old British hill resort stands on the altitude of 1,315m above the sea level – also known as Pine Land because of its abundant in pine trees. The sightseeing includes Shweumin natural caves; taking along the up-down meandering roads of Kalaw . Have the panoramic view of Kalaw; old colonial style buildings from a hillock opposite of Kalaw. Then proceed to Pindaya by car. Arrival Pindaya and relex at the hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Pindaya.
Day 09 Pindaya sightseeing / Pindaya-Inle (car) ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Pindaya, a historic town situated about three hours drive from Inle Lake passing through PhaO and Danu villages en-route for photo stops. Pindaya caves – natural lime stone caves not only with numerous stalactites and stalagmites but also filled with about 8000 various sizes of Buddha images believed to be there since 11th century; famous Botoloke Lake. Ethnic groups like Shan, PaO and Danu are living environs of Pindaya and the place nowadays is also famous for traditional style Shan paper making and Shan umbrella making.In the evening, drive to Inle Lake. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Inle Lake.
Day 10 Inle full day sightseeing ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Inle Lake exists 900 meters above the sea level and the home land of Inthar tribe. Visit the regional once in every fifth day market takes place around the different area of the Inle Lake if today coincides with the market day. Phaungdawoo Pagoda – famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and its history; Ngaphechaung monastery (formerly also known as jumping cat monastery for trained jumping cats) – more than one and a half century old monastery with its collection of ancient Buddha Images. Other attractions include unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Innthar; floating gardens and vegetable plantations; and weaving factory and black smith. Dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight Inle Lake.
Day 11 Heho-Yangon(Flight) /Yangon full day sightseeing ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. The full day tour of Yangon commences with a visit to city center, colonial style buildings and Sule Pagoda - a landmark in downtown Yangon, followed by the visit to Kandawgyi Lake for taking photographs of the panoramic view of the lake overlooking the Shwedagon Pagoda .
Lunch on Afternoon sightseeing to famous shopping center Bogyoke Market (formerly called Scott Market), where you can see varieties of goods ranging from handicrafts to clothing and local food/ snack. Continue walk to the Chinatown area, a bustle point. Overnight Yangon.
Remark: Bogyoke Market closes on Monday and public holiday.
Day 12 Full day sightseeing to Bago ( Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner )
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Bago, “formerly called Hantharwaddy” - the ancient capital founded in 573 AD by “Mon” Kings – situated 80 km north of Yangon and approximately 2 hours drive. En-route visits Htaukkyant war cemetery, a rest place for about 27,000 Allied soldiers died in WWII, and four gigantic “Kyaikpun” Buddha Images all in sitting posture placed back to back.
The sightseeing in Bago include Bago Market ; Hinthargone hillock – the foremost tiny land; Shwemawdaw Pagoda - towering 375 feet and taller than Shwedagon; Shwethalyaung reclining Buddha Image – originally built in 994 AD and is a masterpiece of Myanmar stucco and symmetry; and cheroot making cottages. Back to Yangon in the late afternoon. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Yangon.
Day 13 Day Free / Departure Yangon ( Breakfast )
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure transfer.
