This kayaking trip explores the secret of Luang Prabang, featuring a trip down Nam Khan river, experiencing beautiful mountain scenery, and the exciting rapids of the river. Prepare to be taken in by the physical pull of the river! The Tad Sea Waterfall is an amazing highlight and you will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking waterfall. We also visit Henri Mouhot's tomb, a famous weaving village and National Museum at former royal palace.

Day 1: ARRIVAL – LUANG PRABANG (Dinner included)
On arrival at Luang Prabang International airport, our guide will meet and transfer you to hotel for check-in.
Depend on your time, after short rest, we begin our sightseeing tour of some of the major sights in this fabulous city, including the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham, the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and Wat Mai, climb to the top of Mount Phousi for enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa and enjoy beautiful sunset view of the city and its glowing reflection on Mekong River. From there we experience hustle and bustle of the colourful Night Market where you can find a selection of traditional textiles, gifts and souvenirs made by local people.
Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: LUANG PRABANG – RIVER KAYAKING (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner included)
After breakfast at hotel, we begin our full day tour by taking local transportation Tuk Tuk, on 45 minute journey to the starting point of the kayaking area of Ban En (small village). On arrival, we commence kayaking downstream on Nam Khan River, passing stunning karsts mountains and observing local activities at various small villages on our way, we kayak through some small and fun rapids. Enroute we stop at Tad Sea, a large beautiful waterfall that is situated in the forest with a cool natural swimming pool, you may refresh yourself from the humidity by immersing yourself in the cool and white waters of the spring in the big pool.
We enjoy picnic lunch overlooking the waterfall on Sala terrace. After lunch, we continue our boat trip downstream to retrace the tomb of the French explorer Henri Mouhot, who stumbled across Angkor Wat in 1860, but succumbed to a malaria attack in Luang Prabang on 10th November in following year. We kayak back to Luang Prabang and change for overland transportation at Ban Phanom, well-known weaving village of Tai Lue, who used to make silk weaving textiles for former Lao royal family. We kayak back to Luang Prabang by the late evening just before sunset.

Day 3: LUANG PRABANG - DEPARTURE (Breakfast included)
After breakfast at hotel, we check-out and transfer back to Pakse for catching departure flight.
(If we have more time, we visit National Museum (closed Tuesdays) at the former Royal Palace, the Phosi Market before transfer to the airport.)
