Day 1: Hanoi (Dinner)
You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a two night stay in this fascinating city.
Day 2: Hanoi (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Enjoy a guided city tour of Hanoi, also known as the “Paris of the East.” Having celebrated its 1000 year anniversary in 2010, the city has rich and fascinating history. A traditional cyclo tour through the narrow, ancient streets of the exotic Old Quarter is a great way to soak up the sights and sounds.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
The following morning depart for Halong Bay, around a four hour drive from Hanoi. You are sure to enjoy an overnight cruise on a traditional junk through the thousands of limestone islands. Visit caves and floating fishing villages, go kayaking in secluded lagoons and swim during the summer months.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hoi An (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Rise early for a swim and enjoy lunch as you cruise back to the harbour. Then drive to Hanoi’s Noi Bai airport for a late afternoon flight to Danang, which is located on the central coast. You will be greeted on arrival and transferred to the charming town of Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Hoi An town to orient yourself with its quaint streets. Take a short boat trip to visit local handicraft villages or experience a cooking class in a beautiful villa on the banks of the river. The afternoon is free to relax on the beach or take advantage of the many tailor shops.
Day 6: Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
From Hoi An take a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the cosmopolitan heart of Vietnam. Soak up the exotic atmosphere of this frenetic city with a guided tour of the main highlights. In the evening enjoy a dinner cruise on the Saigon River.
Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City – Cao Dai Temple - Cu Chi Tunnels (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
This morning you will make a visit to the fascinating Cao Dai Temple, home to a unique religion. From the temple continue on to the infamous Cu Chi tunnels before returning to the city for a free afternoon.
Day 8: Mekong Delta (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Today depart Ho Chi Minh City for the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a full day trip that includes a cruise in a traditional sampan, with stops at interesting sights along the way. Enjoy lunch at a French villa on the banks of the river before returning to Saigon in the late afternoon.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap – Temples of Angkor (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Fly to Siem Reap in Cambodia, your base for the next three days. Spend the afternoon visiting the amazing and aweinspiring temples of Angkor. There will be plenty of time to tour
Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples.
Day 10 -11: Siem Reap – Temples of Angkor (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Spend the next two days exploring the Angkor temples. Each displays individual and unique architecture. Witness the splendour of these magnificent creations, with a surprise around every corner.
Day 12: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Fly to the capital, Phnom Penh and enjoy an afternoon city tour of the main sites.
Day 13: Phnom Penh - Vientiane (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Bid farewell to Cambodia and fly to Vientiane. Enjoy a city tour taking in some of the main sights and watch the sunset over the Mekong River.
Day 14: Vientiane - Luang Prabang (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Fly to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang, set amongst forested mountains and dotted with golden temples that are home to saffron robed monks. This afternoon you will enjoy a historic walking tour of this quaint town.
Day 15: Luang Prabang (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
If you wish, rise early for the silent morning procession of monks collecting alms. Later in the morning enjoy a boat cruise on the Mekong River to the holy caves of Pak Ou. In the afternoon you may wish to visit the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls. You will be well and truly relaxed after spending time in Luang Prabang, the perfect place to end your Indochina tour.
Day 16: Luang Prabang (Breakfast)
Spend the morning at leisure before you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
